Microwave Test

#1 - fill WATER

Fill up JARSTY with 0,88 pound/lb (400 gr) of cold tap water (water level is approximately this).

#2 - Stick the thermometer

Stick the thermometer right below water level.

#3 - SETUP JARSTY

Cover JARSTY with its lid, open the valve and place it in the microwave.

#4 - set microwave and start it

Set microwave’s power anywhere between 600w and 900w and start it.

#5 - CHECK

After 3 and half minutes check the colour of the tag without stopping the microwave:

POWER TOO HIGH

If the red square has already turned on, stop the test: microwave power is too high. Let JARSTY cool down and run the test again, decreasing the power.

RIGHT POWER

If between 3 and half minutes and 4 and half minutes the green square turns on, mark the power you are using and the time from the beginning of the test: these will be your reference values for that microwave.

POWER TOO LOW

If after 4 and half minutes the green square hasn’t turned on yet, suspend the test: the power you’re using is too low. Let JARSTY cool down and repeat the test using increased power.
